introspection; how to measure inner reality?

“In the work I examine an approach how to look at ones inner reality and how to make it visible and readable.

We measure temperature, time, energy, velocity and more to obtain knowledge of certain actualities. What happens if you measure your emotions?

During one month I charted mood and sleep using a psychological technique called introspection. The method means examine and review ones thoughts, emotion and mental state. The term stands in opposition to extern observation.

Daily I made notes about my emotional state in one schedule and the amount of hours I slept the last 24 hours in another schedule. At the end of the month I drew two curves from the notes, thus creating a visualization of the subjective emotional life; then I translated the curves into a sculpture.”
